Little Man Update

So January found us at a couple different doctors. We went and saw Dr. Durham for his 2 year check. He weighs 22 pounds which is the 44th percentile and they said he length was 33 inches which would put his in the 91 percentile (both Dr. Durham and I kind of though that was not accurate because at 18 months he was in the 39 percentile). Each time we have gone in Dr. Durham has had to scrap his ears because he has so much wax in them so he recommended that we have a hearing test. He also recommended an eye exam.

We did blood tests to see where his white blood count was at which came back normal and he told me he was not worried about leukemia any more. I just about did a happy dance right there on the spot. I have to admit that this has haunted me for two years. I have worried every time we have a blood test. He also tested thyroid which came back normal also.

The hearing test went well other than they found fluid in one of his ears so we are headed to the ENT later this month.

Eye test also came back normal. Sometime it is nice to hear that thing are just normal!!!

Developmentally he is doing great. He can sign all done, more, eat and drink. He waves good bye, hello and will give kisses if you ask him to. He is a big talker and makes a lot of noise. He can feed himself but still does the mass grab.

We are struggling with walking. He wants nothing to do with it so we are having to kind of push him a little bit. His PT called him stubborn which made laugh because it is true. He is also struggling with sipper cups. We have a soft top which he will bit to open it and then it just drips all over. When we try to give him a hard top he does not know what to do with it. He has great temperament though and loves to play and interact. We feel very blessed to have in our family and love watching him grow up.

Little Man's 2nd Birthday

Yes I know I have not posted in awhile-sorry.

In January Little Man turned 2 and we celebrated with a party. We had a great time celebrating with family, opening presents, and eating cake and ice cream.

He has had a cold the last couple of day so we have been blowing his nose so when he saw the tissue paper he thought it was a Kleenex and tried to blow his nose.

He loves books.
When we brought out the cake he automatically reached for it and he took a chuck out of it before I could pull the cake back. You can see it on his hands and floor.

Princess's Pictures

As I explained in my last post we had family pictures and wanted to get individual of each kid but Princess did not want her picture taken. We debated using one of this beauties so we would have this memory for the rest of her life but decided against it.

Family Pictures

We try and do family pictures every year so we can see how the kids and our family grows so this year my brother Dave took them and did a great job. Everyone's pictures turned out really well. Princess did not want her picture taken so we had to use one that Chris just took that day while we were waiting. I will post outtakes of Princess later to show how she really felt about getting her picture taken.

I love this picture of little man!!

Bum Scooting

Little Man learned how to scoot about 2 months ago and has been getting faster and faster everyday. We are so excited that he can finally get around the house. He is being a little bit stubborn and refuses to try walking. Sorry about the video the camera man is only 10.

Temple Square

Monday night we took the kids are Frontrunner and then over to Temple Square to see the lights. This is one of my favorite activity to do at Christmas time. I think the kids have more fun riding the train then they do seeing the lights.

This is the cutest hat ever. One of the special needs teachers at Woods Cross made it for him. It is so cute and even matches his coat.

Chris's sister Lisa and her little boy came with us. I thought my kids were excited to ride the train but it was nothing compared to her little boy. I think he pretended to blow a train whistle the whole trip there and back. It reminded me so much of when my boys were that age. Little boys are so much. I am grateful I have 3 of them.

Santa

We had our ward party on Saturday the kids were so excited to see Santa. This year they decided to do something fun and we sung karaoke Christmas songs. This Princess up front holding a candle. The boys with reindeer horns.

At the very end Santa came which is my boys favorite part. A couple of years ago 1st Son brought his list and gave it to Santa so he would be sure that Santa knew what he wanted.
2nd Son
Little man was not very excited to sit on Santa's lap and kept pointing at me so I would pick him up. At least he did not cry.
Princess ran for the door as soon as it was her turn so I had to sit on Santa's lap with her so she could tell him what she wanted. I love her!!
