Family Vacation-Day 2

On Sunday we took the kids to see the St. George temple. It was beautiful!!! I do not remember the temple being so white. We also went into the visitor center and saw the Christus. I served my mission in the Mesa Arizona temple visitor center so it brought back a lot of wonderful memories every time I see a Christus statue.

What a good looking family.

Little Man giving grandma some snuggle time. In the afternoon the kids got a special call from Mickey Mouse and Goofy to let them know that the next day we were headed to Disneyland. We had kept this a secret so the kids had no idea. I kind of expected them to be really excited and jump around but they just kind of sat there not really showing any reaction. I think it took a couple of minutes for it sink in.

Later that afternoon my nephew got a call from Buzz Light year and Woody to let him know that he was also going to Disneyland.

Grandma had made memory books for the kids to fill in on the trip there and also a place for the kid to get the character to sign with their signatures. I love my mother-in-law, she is really creative and very thoughtful.

Princess and her cousin dancing together. I think she was so excited to go to Disneyland.

Family Vacation-Day 1

Friday, June 3rd, school got out and we loaded up the kids and headed to St. George with Chris's parents, his little sister, and her son. Chris's grandparents have a home that they let us stay out whenever we need to get away. On Saturday, we started off the weekend by enjoying the sun and playing in the water. The kids had a blast getting each other wet.

That night we celebrated 2nd Son official birthday. He turned 9 years old. We had a party for him last Saturday before we left since we knew we would be in St. George. Instead of cake for his birthday, 2nd Son picked brownies and ice cream. I can't believe how fast he is growing up. He is great kid and I love him to death!!

New Wheels

Little Man got some new wheels in the form of a walker. We have also been going to Baby Yoga in order to try and help build some muscle in his lower body. The class is through our Early Invention and it has been a lot of fun to interact with other moms who have kids with special needs. It is amazing how quickly you bond when you go through some of the same things.

Finally!!!

Little Man is finally standing up!! I walked in and show him standing all by himself and started to cry. I yelled for all the kids and the camera and recorded it so we could remember it. Little Man has his own cheering section whenever he does something new.

Monday we started baby yoga to try and help build some muscle tone in his lower body. He has tones of upper body strength but struggles with lower body.

Little Man Update

So January found us at a couple different doctors. We went and saw Dr. Durham for his 2 year check. He weighs 22 pounds which is the 44th percentile and they said he length was 33 inches which would put his in the 91 percentile (both Dr. Durham and I kind of though that was not accurate because at 18 months he was in the 39 percentile). Each time we have gone in Dr. Durham has had to scrap his ears because he has so much wax in them so he recommended that we have a hearing test. He also recommended an eye exam.

We did blood tests to see where his white blood count was at which came back normal and he told me he was not worried about leukemia any more. I just about did a happy dance right there on the spot. I have to admit that this has haunted me for two years. I have worried every time we have a blood test. He also tested thyroid which came back normal also.

The hearing test went well other than they found fluid in one of his ears so we are headed to the ENT later this month.

Eye test also came back normal. Sometime it is nice to hear that thing are just normal!!!

Developmentally he is doing great. He can sign all done, more, eat and drink. He waves good bye, hello and will give kisses if you ask him to. He is a big talker and makes a lot of noise. He can feed himself but still does the mass grab.

We are struggling with walking. He wants nothing to do with it so we are having to kind of push him a little bit. His PT called him stubborn which made laugh because it is true. He is also struggling with sipper cups. We have a soft top which he will bit to open it and then it just drips all over. When we try to give him a hard top he does not know what to do with it. He has great temperament though and loves to play and interact. We feel very blessed to have in our family and love watching him grow up.

Little Man's 2nd Birthday

Yes I know I have not posted in awhile-sorry.

In January Little Man turned 2 and we celebrated with a party. We had a great time celebrating with family, opening presents, and eating cake and ice cream.

He has had a cold the last couple of day so we have been blowing his nose so when he saw the tissue paper he thought it was a Kleenex and tried to blow his nose.

He loves books.
When we brought out the cake he automatically reached for it and he took a chuck out of it before I could pull the cake back. You can see it on his hands and floor.

Princess's Pictures

As I explained in my last post we had family pictures and wanted to get individual of each kid but Princess did not want her picture taken. We debated using one of this beauties so we would have this memory for the rest of her life but decided against it.
