Little Man has been going through separation anxiety for the last couple of months which means that I have to take him everywhere I go so lately he has been spending a lot of time in the kitchen. I would leave to go get something and find Little man in a totally different place. I kept asking the kids if they were moving him and they all said they weren't. Finally one day I walked in right as he was scooting his way backwards across the floor. It is so cute to watch because he is sitting up but he lays flat on the floor and pushes. I have tried a couple of times to record it but of course he always stops as soon as he sees me. Today I got a couple of pushes so I though I would share.

Embarrassing
I have plenty of embarrassing moments in my life one of which happened today. After church my older children decided to walk home which left me to take Little Man, his car seat, two bags and my scriptures all to the van by myself. So as I was headed to the van with my heavy load I was not really paying attention to where I was going. I found the van quickly and hurried toward it. I opened the sliding door to put everything in and noticed that for some reason the floor mats where no longer that. I decided to give the kids a lecture about leaving things where they were suppose to be once I got home. I put the bags in and then lifted Little Man into the van to attach the seat to the base only to realize that there was already a car seat sitting there and it was pink. I do not own a pink car seat. Only then did I realize that I was in the wrong van. I looked around really quickly expecting to find the owner of the van looking at the crazy lady who was putting stuff into their van. Luckily no one was there so I grabbed Little Man and all the bags and headed to the next van over which was mine. I laughed at myself the whole way home. I am so grateful that no one saw me. I should really pay more attention to what I am doing.

Starting a Long Journey

Today I took 1st Son to the orthodontist to start his long journey with braces. We have known for a long time that he would eventually need braces and have put it off for the last couple of years, but it is finally time. He had molds and spacers put in today. We go back in two weeks to have two appliances put in. One will help him with his tongue thrust which we found out he had this year when we took him to a speech therapist. The other appliance is to help create more room on top for all of his teeth.
I think I am more nervous about this than 1st Son. I remember all the pain each time they would tighten the braces and all the head gear that I would never wear even though I was suppose to. Now that it is all over though I am grateful for straight teeth. I am sure 1st Son will feel the same way when it is all over.

Sharing
Two weeks after we went back to church Chris was called as the bishop of our ward. I was so surprised when the Stake President extended the calling to us. Little Man was only four months old and I did not know how I was going to handle a new baby and three other children. I remember praying all week before his first Sunday that somehow I would be able to make it through church without breakdown and crying in front of everyone. I have done that before and it was kind of humiliating. My goal is to usually wait until I get home before I have a break down.
I do not remember if it was that first Sunday or the next one but before the meeting start an angel grandma by the name of Mary Wayment asked if she could hold Little Man during sacrament meeting. I of course let her and she has been taking him every Sunday for the last year. I can not put into words how grateful I am for her and her unselfish service to us. I have prayed many time thanking my Heavenly Father for her.
Two weeks ago when Little Man had his ear infection he was extremely ornery so I did not want Mary to have do deal with him so I just kept him. I made it through the whole meeting without even having to go out in the hall with him. I was a little bit frustrated with my other children because they all wanted to be right next to Little Man but overall it was not too bad. This last Sunday Mary was not there so we made it through church again and I was still smiling by the end. I think I can do this by myself. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father sends individual to help us when we really need it until we are able to stand on our own.
Bathroom Fun
Whenever Princess tells me she has to use the bathroom we all head down the hall to the bathroom. I have been taking Little Man with me because I never know how long we will be in the bathroom so it is easier to just take him with and join in the fun. Somehow he got ahold of the toilet paper and decided to try eating it. We are in the stage where anything he get a hold of automatically ends up in his mouth. I had to fish out some toliet paper which he was not thrilled with but I did that after I took his picture.
Still Potty Training
Princess is still working on potty training so to encourage her along we made a sticker chart to earn a bathroom for her doll house that she got at Christmas. She was so excited when the whole chart was full and we were able to open her bathroom. The daytime she pretty much has down but we are still working on nighttime. We just bought some princess pull-up which she was so happy about.
